Medela's survey enabled 4000 Australian mums to provide their feedback and for Medela to "discover attitudes towards experience with breastfeeding and sourcing parenting advice".

Results showed that mothers put pressure on themselves to breastfeed and to assist in their journey, tend to source support from midwives and doctors or online from support groups, tools and apps.

They also revealed that 9 out of 10 mums experience breastfeeding challenges - milk levels and sore nipples being the most popular problems. Despite these challenges, most mothers persevere with breastfeeding, with 52% respondents stating that they felt pressure to continue to do so.

Regardless, the main reason women breastfeed is for the health benefits for their child, followed by bonding experience, convenience and financial savings.

I personally think it's shameful if family/friends/society put pressure on new mums as to their own personal choices as to whether or not they breastfeed. - for whatever reason.

Quite frankly, I didn't breastfeed either of my children - it was a choice by me and supported by my husband - and although I had the luxury of people not shoving their opinions down my throat - I'm sure that I would have been a mumma bear and ensured that if I felt pressure from anyone, I'd advise them that I appreciated their opinion but that is just it - their opinion - and my choice.

There is no right or wrong as to whether or not you breastfeed. Although there are benefits from breastfeeding - I can wholeheartedly say that I do not feel as though my children were disadvantaged, neglected or suffered because they were formula fed.

In fact, with the decision of formula feeding my children, it allowed my husband to be involved in the feeding process and bond with them and it also allowed us to take turns feeding at night so each of us had a solid night sleep every second night. A godsend during those first few weeks.

If you want to breastfeed and can - do it. Don't hide in public, feed your baby.

If you want to breastfeed and can't - don't be disheartened or feel as though you have failed. You did your best and your child won't miss out or be neglected if they are formula fed.

If you make the choice to not breastfeed, regardless of whether or not you have the ability to - then don't.

It seems that breastfeeding will always be a debatable subject to a lot of people. I don't judge, you do want you find is best and do it with your head held high. As long as your child is fed, is well cared for and loved - those are the things that matter the most.

Bump and Baby® has a new baby. In business, you can't do that and hence, the change.

To celebrate, for a limited time, we have a 30% discount on ALL products.

I hope you like it. We should cherish the little things. There are days as a parent when you feel down and out. There are days when you're over "the stage" they're in right now and want them to be older already. Reading the quote now makes me think "No, I don't want them to grow in a hurry and I do want to cherish them, because it isn't going to last forever".The moral? Cherish what we have and take each day as it comes. Now that my boys are a

I saw this quote and thought "this really puts things into perspective".
